I live on a farm in northwest Iowa. I love the farm and I love the midwest. I enjoy my grandchildren, gardening quiet times at home, traveling. I am a quiet person and I am sometimes a little hard to get to know. The last 25 years, it has been my job to run my home and the farm as efficently as possible, as my husband traveled extensively. I love everything to do with keeping my farm and yard looking great. In the two years since I lost my husband, I have taken my grandchildren on a vacation in the summertime. I am a widow who married for life but unfortunately found out almost 4 years ago that "life" was to be much shorter than I had planned. Now I am beginning again and hope to find someone to share what could be the some of the best times of my life. I have never cheated nor been cheated on but I can certainly relate to the hurt and disappointment of real love now lost.

I have one 18 yr old son who has his pilots license and is on a 4 yr scholarship at the University of Iowa's Air Force ROTC program. We are very close. Our world has gotten smaller as we enjoy small plane trips on the weekends. I love to bake and usually bake 75 doz Christmas cookies to give family and friends. I also decorate huge cakes for charity auctions. Growing up in a large family taught me to bake; being in 4-H perfected it. I love dogs, horses, home projects and traveling. I especially love campfires. Nothing beats a hotdog cooked over an open fire, but I still enjoy dressing up from time to time for special occasions. I am financially secure and I'm not looking for someone to take care of me. I work for a Fortune 500 Company, but it is by no means the No. 1 priority in my life.
