The best place to go on a date is not nearly as important as who you are with. I enjoy dinner out, sitting by the fire watching the deer and birds outside, as well as live theater or a walk in the woods. If my date is a good man, I can enjoy most any date.

I am divorced and trying to get on with my life. I love people. I am retired and try to stay busy most of the time. Every day I realize that I'm lucky to be alive and I live accordingly. I don't know, I feel the best first date would be depending the time of year. Summer would be a festival, or fair. There is entertainment and food. A non festifal time would be a nice quiet dinner, and a movie. maybe a little longer get together movie, dinner, then pool, bowling, or walk at the mall. Usually a walk in the woods on a nice sunny day nomatter what time of the year is also fun.

This is one I havent had to think about for 15 years or so, but...how about some good Italian at Victorias. Then maybe a walk along the shoreline to burn off some of the calories and have a chance to talk, then if time and willingness permit, rent a video and fall asleep on the couch.

Thinking back, some of the best dates that I have been on have been the spontaious and unplanned. Of course there was a starting point. I enjoy playing golf, going for walks / runs, biking, boating, cooking or going out to eat, playing pool, camping, and watching movies in or out.
